Croatian Architect Designs Impressive €100 Million Hotel Complex in China

Young Croatian architect Bruno Juricic has won a bid to build the impressive Xia Ke hotel that is being built in Hai Ning City, Zhe Jiang Province, China. This is the first time a Croatian architect has won a tender with his own project.
Juricic worked in collaboration with his Chinese partner Jun Wang to design the futuristic hotel being built in Hai Ning City.
The large tourist complex extends over a total of 65,000 m2, with guests being able to enjoy top restaurants, theatre, entertainment and congress centers, as well as a cultural center devoted to the great Chinese writer Jin Yong.
The project has the support of the Chinese government who are co-financing the construction of the hotel complex. The total value of construction is around 100 million euros.
Bruno Juricic is an active protagonist of the Croatian architectural scene in the world with a very interesting resume.
After graduating from architecture in Venice, from 2009 to 2014 he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Vienna at the postgraduate programme in Architecture and Urban Strategies under the leadership of Wolf Prix.
In 2010 he was selected as one of the ten scientists in the field of architecture for the Getty Research Institute in LA. He worked as an assistant at UCLA, Department of Architecture and Urban Design, and was a guest professor of architecture at Mitchell Lab at Texas A & M University. He also worked as a lecturer at the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
Based in Pula, Croatia, Juričić works between Pula and Shanghai.
