Croatia’s best boxer, 25-year-old heavyweight Filip Hrgovic, has started his professional boxing career with a technical knockout after just 90 seconds on Saturday evening in Latvia.
Hrgović, who won bronze at the Rio Olympics last summer, has turned professional and was too good for Brazilian Zumbano Love, winning by technical knockout in the first round.
The Croatian, who was chosen to be Wladimir Klitschko’s sparring partner, shed 10 kgs for the fight and came out in his trademark aggressive style.
Hrgovic rattled the Brazilian, who had 39 wins under his belt, with his first barrage of blows before ending the fight in his next attack.
