Croatian cello star Hauser to be first in world to play songs from every country

World-renowned Croatian cellist Hauser has launched his most ambitious project to date – “Music Unites the World.”
For the first time in history, an artist will perform an iconic song from every country in the world.
Hauser’s goal is to showcase music as the universal language that connects people, regardless of their background, culture, or spoken tongue.
“I want to prove, once and for all, that music unites every nation, every culture, and every person on this planet. That’s why I have decided to play one song from each country. The project won’t stop until I’ve played a song from every corner of the world,” Hauser, who was one half of the famous 2Cellos duo, explained.
To represent Croatia, he chose to perform the timeless hit “Cesarica” sung by the legendary Oliver Dragojević.
“Oliver was a special artist who inspired me from a young age. His music is close to my heart, and my collaboration with him will always remain special,” Hauser said, emphasising how deeply he is influenced by Dragojević’s musical legacy.
Performed on the cello, “Cesarica” takes on a new, deeply emotional dimension – intimate, nostalgic, and incredibly powerful.
