A delicatessen specialising in Croatian food had a surprise visit from British royalty this week.
Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, turned up unannounced to London’s Borough Market this week and made a special stop at Taste Croatia deli to try some Croatian cheese.
Prince Charles and Camilla must have been craving to try some Croatian delights again after sampling their fair share last year when they made a visit to Croatia.
“We had such fun meeting Prince Charles and Camilla in store yesterday! What a festive joy filled visit to have them try our Croatian food,” Taste Croatia said, adding that the pair came to try their award-winning Dinarski cheese.
Located next to London Bridge, Borough Market is the city’s most renowned food and drink market.
Taste Croatia Deli is a family owned business which unites love for the two countries of the owners, Croatia and the UK.
“We share this passion for Croatian gastronomy and it the numerous unique flavours with producers from Croatia, as well. That is what inspired us to present best of the best Croatian products to the UK market back in 2010 when we started at Borough Market,” Taste Croatia writes.
“Sourcing quality products from the finest producers in Croatia and presenting them to the people in the UK, this was the mission. Quality of the products, our knowledge and passion were recognized and from a little stall in Borough Market we grew up to a deli shop, officially opened in May 2013.”
