Croatian Dina Levačić nominated by World Open Water Swimming Association for Woman of the Year Award

Croatian long distance swimmer Dina Levačić has been nominated by World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) for Woman of the Year 2022 Award.
26-year-old Dina completed a 14.4 km crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar in 3 hours 03 minutes, the fastest overall crossing of the 2022 season for both men and women, and completed a 35 km crossing of the North Channel in 10 hours 26 minutes, putting her one step closer to realizing her dream of swimming the Oceans Seven, a marathon swimming challenge consisting of the 7 largest and most difficult channels in the world.
Only Cook Strait between the North and South islands in New Zealand (23 km) remains.

The WOWSA Awards is an annual recognition of the world’s open water swimmers, products, services and events in 6 different categories via a global online poll.
The public can vote on the nominees split across 6 main award categories and will be able to vote on the WOWSA website until January 31, 2023. The winner will be announced on February 3, 2023. We hope Dina can win this award!
