Croatian Fest marking 90 years in Milwaukee

The Croatian Fraternal Union (CFU) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has announce the 90th Anniversary Croatian Fest, set to take place on Saturday, July 20th, at Croatian Park.

Traditional barbeque lamb, pork, chicken, and ćevapčići sausage will be available starting at 11 am and served throughout the day.

To ensure a delicious meal prepared by American-European Foods, attendees are encouraged to pre-order by calling 414-444-2121.

An ample selection of traditional Croatian bakery items will be available for dessert. The fest will also feature a variety of Croatian refreshments, including Karlovacko, Ozujsko Pivo, Croatian Park Ale, Sljivovica, wine, and liquors.

The cultural program will start at 2 pm, followed by entertainment featuring the popular musician and vocalist Ivan Heller.

Proceeds from this annual event will support the construction of the new Boris Buco Kuzmanovic Pavilion, which is scheduled to begin on July 15th and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

To further raise funds, there will be a raffle for a new 2023 GMC Terrain SLT AWD fully loaded SUV, generously donated by Mike and Branka Dudas of Len Dudas Motors in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Only 1,000 tickets are available at $100 each.

The raffle also includes three cash prizes of $1,500, $1,000, and $500. The drawing will take place on Thursday, September 19th, during the regularly scheduled Beer Garden.

Raffle tickets can be purchased via the website at www.milwaukeecroatians.org/carraffle.

The CFU encourages members and friends of the Federation of Croatian Societies to join the celebration on Saturday, July 20, 2024, for a day of friendship and festivity.

The festivities will begin at 10 am and continue until 10 pm. Admission and parking are free of charge.

Croatian Park is located at 9100 S 76th St., Franklin, Wisconsin.
