Croatian folk group LADO celebrating 70th anniversary with show in Zadar

19 April 2019 – National Folk Dance Ensemble of Croatia LADO, the nation’s most successful cultural export product, will celebrate 70 years of performing with a show in Zadar next week.
LADO will be performing at Arsenal in Zadar on 26 April 2019 to celebrate seven decades of continuous activity.
The ensemble, which travels the world promoting Croatian culture, consists of over 38 dancers who also sing while they perform, and a group of 14 top musicians who play traditional and classical instruments.
In 70 years of existence, LADO has more than 5,000 performances in Croatia and around the world under their belts for which they have won numerous awards. The group, which was founded in 1949, was nominated a few years back for the prestigious Independent Music Award (IMA) in America.
Lado has had numerous famous Croatian ethnographers and choreographers, music arrangers, and folklorists work with them.
