The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has been won an award for the best digital engagement campaign at the UEFA GROW awards in Riga, Latvia last night.
HNS beat 20 other federations to win the award for the best digital fan engagement campaign.
HNS won the award for its ‘Obitelj’ (Family) social media campaign which ran during the World Cup in Russia.
“HNS’s authentic campaign was well thought out and in an excellent way connected family and football, including the national team and their families and created a positive atmosphere around the team,” said jury member Nikki Symmons.
The campaign was created by HNS spokesperson Tomislav Pacak and public relations manager Nika Bahtijarević.
Croatia’s campaign was created and executed without using any agency and was done in-house.
Journalist Borna Rupnik, photographer Drago Sopta and graphics associate Nikša Martinac also worked on the project with Luka Modrić supporting the presentation on the night via video.
“I thank the great team which worked on this campaign ‘family’, the players and coaching staff which became a family, Croatian fans who joined in in this family, the jury and UEFA for recognising our family,” Pacak said.
Every two years the UEFA GROW awards are held for the best marketing projects from national federations. This year 106 projects from 44 national federations were submitted for the awards.
