Croatian Greats: AR App Making Croatian Currency Come to Life

Croatian Greats (Hrvatski Velikani)

A new Augmented Reality application which makes Croatia’s national currency, the kuna, come to life, making the money talk, walk and even quack is now available to download.

Croatian Greats is an AR application developed by Darian Skarica, Jerko Škorić and the team at Delta Reality.

Depending on the denomination, scanning a Croatian bill will trigger an animated scene related to the great and image on the bill.

For example on the 10 kuna note which features Pula Arena, 3D gladiator fights in an ancient arena will come to life, whilst scanning a 20 kuna bill featuring Ban Josip Jelacic, the statue of the famous commander will jump to life and gallop away or geese will emerge from fog quacking.

The app, which sees bills come to life, helps users learn more about Croatian history, and has quizzes and amazing AR photos, is free to download.
