It seems that only a medical stands in the way of RNK Split’s Croatian international Ante Rebić from joining Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.
The 19-year-old, who scored a fantastic goal on his full international debut for Croatia earlier this month against Lichtenstein, was in the Italian city of Florence on Tuesday and will undergo a medical before putting pen to paper, reports Tportal.Although not confirmed, it has been reported that the robust striker could be signed in deal worth 12 million euros, with his club receiving over 7 million euros. Rebić impressed many during his performance for Croatia during the U20 World Cup, forcing national team coach Igor Stimac to give him his first international cap. Rebić, who was also targeted by English premier league sides Spurs and Swansea, has been compared by some to former Croatia legend Alen Bokšić.
