Croatian IT firm Q is planning to open an office in London at the end of this month.
The Zagreb-based firm is also investigating the acquisition of a London company, and plans to hire another hundred people this year, Tportal reported.
“Opening an office in London is a big step forward for expanding Q because it creates additional value for existing clients and opens the opportunity to meet new ones. In addition, we are already looking for new staff in London, and exploring the potential acquisition of a London company,” said Vedran Tolić, co – founder and chief operating officer of Q.
Without revealing details or the name of the company they intend to take over, Q says that they expect the new office in London to focus more strongly on strategic projects of big brands because they already have a number of successful collaborations with companies like Times, BBC, Smart, uSwitch and others.
London is currently the largest market for Q, and most of its clients are large corporations. In Q, they estimate that they have taken an important step with London towards the development of a network of offices in the world’s metropolises.
They say that the number of new experts they employ is constantly growing, and this year alone they will increase the team by more than a hundred people.
Last year, one of the leading global agencies that rate and review IT companies, Clutch, ranked Q among the 20 best web development companies in the world, among the ten best in Europe and the best B2B company in Croatia.
