In the Croatian town of Samobor, Vibor Cavor, a passionate LEGO enthusiast, has taken his love for brick-building to a new level.
Over the course of three months, he meticulously crafted a model of the Rimac Concept_One, the first high-performance electric sports car from the Croatia’s Rimac Automobili, using a total of 2412 bricks.
The model was built with the hope that the Rimac Concept_One would be turned into an official LEGO set.
Vibor has been an active participant in the LEGO IDEAS program since 2016. This platform empowers individuals to bring their creative ideas to life by designing LEGO models and garnering support from the LEGO community.
The process is simple: creators upload their designs, and if their project manages to accumulate 10,000 votes, it advances to the final round for consideration as an official LEGO set.
The suggestion to create a model of the Croatian electric sports car came from his colleague, who believed it had the potential to capture the imagination of LEGO enthusiasts worldwide.
“I engaged a colleague from the KOCKICE club, of which I am also a member, to help me with the promotion, which he did very well. It was actually he who suggested to me to create a Rimac for the LEGO platform. It wasn’t my idea, but it seemed interesting to me. After the decision, it was entirely up to me how successfully the model would be made,” Vibor told us.
Intrigued by the challenge, Cavor embraced the idea and took on the responsibility of bringing the Rimac Concept_One to life.
