Croatian literature will be promoted at the up coming London Book Fair, which will be held from 12-14 April in England’s capital…
The promotion will come in the form of the publication ‘5 Books from Croatia’. It will be the first time Croatian literature will be promomted in such a way. The publication focuses on five authors – Milena Benini, Marko Dejanovic, Kristian Novak, Sibila Petleski, and Miroslav Krleza.
The collection of crime stories “Zagreb Noir” will be launched at the fair on 12 April.
“Zagreb Noir is an outstanding collection of noir-ish and harrowing tales, each set in a distinct neighbourhood or location in Zagreb. Editor Ivan Srsen has curated a diverse, powerful, and dramatic group of stories that offer tremendous insight into the perspectives of contemporary Croatians,” is how it is described in this year’s programme.
One of the most renowned book fairs in the world, this year The London Book Fair celebrates its 45th anniversary. The fair is a global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels sees more than 25,000 publishing professionals arrive in London for the week of the show to learn, network and kick off their year of business.
