Šibenik model, Marta Malenica, will represent Croatia at the 2018 World Top Model International contest in Milan this weekend.
Marta, who is on the books at Leona fashion agency in Šibenik, will compete in Milan with over 50 models from all over the world.
Croatia has performed well at the contest over the last few years with Lara Spajić winning the title in 2016 and Der Maretić being first runner-up in 2015.
The 28th edition of World Top Model will be held on Sunday, 9 December 2018 in Milan with the winner taking away a modelling contract worth €200,000 with MAJOR Model Management, who has agencies in over 20 major fashion cities over the world.
Sandra Šerbec, who has the World Top Model license for Croatia, is proud of Croatia’s success in the contest to date.
“Preparing here in Milan I noticed that all the girls are extremely beautiful and confident and show a high level of modelling art. They are very professional so it will be a difficult task for the judges to select the winner. Among the judges will be Mr. Guido Dolci, owner of MAJOR model management, representatives from international modelling agencies, designers and people from the fashion industry around the world.
The final is always watched by scouts from various modelling agencies from Europe and America so all the girls will have the chance to impress and maybe get an opportunity to work at one of these agencies. As the owner of the license for Croatia and the other 5 nations in the region, I sincerely hope and wish great success for the models under my license,” Šerbec said.
