Croatian Paralympian Swimmer Sets 2 New World Records

Croatia

Croatian Paralympian swimmer Kristijan Vincetić has set two new world records at the Croatian Championships held in Rijeka over the weekend…

Vincetić, who swims out of the PK Dubrava club, has capped off a fantastic 2015 by setting the competition alight at the Kantrida pools in Rijeka.

With a time of 17:11.67 Vincetić set a new world record for swimmers with a disability in the 1500-metre S9 classification freestyle event. Kristijan beat the record previously held by Canadian Brad Sales (18:35.00), who held the record since 2002.

He was not there, Vincetić then broke another world record at the competition, this time in the 800m category (S9) with a time of 9:02.17. The previous world record was set in 2011.
