More success for Croatian cheese on the global stage.
Paški sir has won the Gold medal at the Global Cheese Awards in Britain held over the weekend.
Cheese producer Paška sirana, from the Croatian island of Pag and producer of the famous Paški sir, won first place for the Best Hard Sheep-Milk Cheese in the World at the Global Cheese Awards.
Over 1,000 cheeses were judged last week with the winners of the awards, which were held in Somerset, England, announced on the weekend.
The Global Cheese Awards are the longest running cheese awards in Britain celebrating all aspects of the Cheese Industry from artisan micro-dairies to large scale producers.
Late last year Paška sirana won the Super Gold Medal for the Best Hard Sheep-Milk Cheese in Central & Eastern Europe at the World Cheese Awards held in San Sebastian in Spain’s mountainous Basque Country.
