Croatian Photographer Wins National Geographic Traveler Constest

Promising Croatian photographer Nikola Smernic has had international success after one of his photographs was selected out of 16,000 entries in the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest.

Smernic’s photo was then selected in the top 10 winners. A great achievement for the Sibenik photographer based in Split on the Dalmatian coast.

“Three days before the competition closed I sent four photographs thinking that I did not really have a chance after seeing the other entries. But, after three weeks I got an email which said I have been awarded a prize and that my photo would be published in the December / January NG Traveler global edition,” Smernic told split.com.hr
