Croatian PM Promises 2,000 New Jobs This Year

Speaking on Tuesday at the ProInvest business conference Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic has promised to open up 2,000 new jobs by the end of this year.
“Until the end of this year we will start 15 projects, worth one billion euros, which will mean 2,000 new jobs,” said Milanovic, adding that his government is working on three key directives: public investment, strengthening business climate and breaking down barriers for private investors.
“In the four years during this crisis investment into Croatia has fallen more than 40%. That is the key cause of the crisis, but also the key to the recovery. We are focusing all our efforts towards creating conditions for new investments,” said Milanovic.
