Croatian long-distance swimmer Dina Levačić has completed an impressive swimming feat in Australia today.
The 28-year-old from Split is tackling two epic challenges Down Under, showcasing her incredible talent and determination in the world of open-water swimming.

Facing tough conditions with strong winds and high waves, Dina didn’t have it easy. The challenging weather forced her to swim well beyond the straight-line distance, but she powered through, finishing in an impressive 6 hours and 47 minutes.
“Hi everyone! I’ve just finished the South 32 Rottnest Channel Swim, which is 20 km in a straight line. But with the strong winds and waves, I had to swim a few extra kilometres to reach the finish. It was windy and wavy, but it was an amazing experience,” Levačić said after the swim.

“Another legendary challenge is behind me. I was one of the few foreigners at the start, but I had plenty of support thanks to the Croatians living in Australia who got up before dawn to cheer me on.”

The Rottnest Channel Swim is a massive event, organised with over 2,500 participants from around the globe. While Dina took on the solo challenge, many swimmers join in smaller or larger relay teams, making it a real celebration of endurance and teamwork.
Next up for Dina is the 34 km Derwent River Swim in Tasmania, scheduled for between 8 and 10 March, depending on the weather.
