Two separate school groups from Croatia have clashed on a cruise ship bound for Barcelona. Two students from the eastern town of Osijek were taken to hospital after a fight broke out between the Osijek students and a group of students from the capital Zagreb, reports daily Vecernji list.
The fight started at around 2am at a disco on board the cruiser. “Four students from Zagreb, which we found out from our teachers, attacked and beat up two of our students. They attacked them from behind apparently, and for what reason we do not know,” said the principle from the Osijek school Snježana Barabaš Seršić, adding that her students who had been attacked had not been drinking, whilst the Zagreb students had.
The two injured students were taken to a Barcelona hospital on arrival. The two schools were heading on separate traditional pre-term school trips to Spain when the incident occurred.
