The Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB) has started implementing promotional activities in the most important market for Croatian tourism, Germany.
CNTB has launched “early booking”, a campaign that will be active until the end of March on the strongest booking platforms on the German market, such as Expedia.de, Urlaubspiraten.de, Weg.de and resereporter.de.
“In some markets, the trend of earlier travel bookings is again evident, for example in our most important emitting market, Germany, where we decided to conduct this campaign. Our goal is to position our country as one of the top foreign destinations to Germans and we are sure that many of them will book their trips this year much earlier than in the last two years in which, due to the coronavirus pandemic, was very pronounced, so-called last minute demand,” said CNTB director Kristjan Staničić, adding that the campaign plans to generate nearly 10 million impressions.
As part of the campaign, the emphasis will be on those tourist products for which the German market has shown the greatest interest, namely the sun and the sea, nautical, active tourism and culture.
An additional feature of this campaign is that the promotion of Croatia takes place through landing pages that are exclusively dedicated to our country and which are located on platforms where users can immediately book accommodation, which has a positive impact on the growth of reservations during the preseason.
Last year, according to the eVisitor system, 21.2 million overnight stays were realised in Croatia from the German market, which equals the result from the record year of 2019.
