ZAGREB, 30 Dec (Hina) – Members of the assembly of the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) on Wednesday made a decision on changing the network of HTZ offices abroad in 2022 with the aim to gradually expand communication and promotional activities in additional markets that have the potential for further growth.
The decision primarily refers to the Ukrainian market, in which Croatia achieved excellent results this year. According to the HTZ, Ukrainians have generated about 860,000 overnights stays so far this year, which is an increase of 2% compared to the same period of the record year 2019.
“Given the potential for further growth, … it is estimated that an office in Kyiv would significantly contribute to the achievement of goals in this market,” the HTZ said.
The HTZ assembly also adopted the 2022 Annual Work Programme, and the basic goal is to position Croatia as the most desirable destination in the Mediterranean and to reach 90% of the tourist turnover from 2019.
The annual programme was adopted at the 2nd session of the HTZ assembly, which was held online.
