Croatian Wines Win Gold at World Decanter Awards in London

Croatian wines have again won gold medals at the world’s largest wine competition. Three Croatian wineries have won gold medals at the 2018 World Decanter Awards in London, Kult Plave Kamenice reports.

More than 270 of the world’s top wine experts gathered in London at the start of May to start judging the 2018 Decanter World Wine Awards. Close to 17,000 wines were judged by 275 international experts with three Croatian wineries announcing they have won gold.

Badel’s Korlat Syrah (2014), Pošip Nerica (2016) from Jakša Krajančić from Korčula and Korona Malvazija (2016) from the Franković family in Buje, Istria have all won gold medals, announcing the news on their social media pages.

The Franković family also picked up a silver medal for their Teran.

All of the results of the 2018 World Decanter Awards will be made public on 29 May 2018.
