Croatia’s 3 Fastest Growing Companies

Whilst most companies in Croatia battle for survival, some have experienced some extraordinary growth in 2013….
Out of the top 1,000 local companies last year, those who ended the year with the most impressive growth included companies in the oil, hotel, automobile, pharmaceutical and gambling sectors, reports Tportal.
The most impressive jump, going from 962nd place in 2012 to 230th in 2013 on the list of top local companies, was Rijeka energy company Saipem, who are one of the world’s leading engineering companies engaged in carrying out complex works in the oil and gas industry. Saipem currently employ around 200 people and generated 349.5 million kuna (46 million euros) in income last year, up around 35 million euros from the previous year.
The second largest jump on the top 1000 list was Zagreb gaming company Captura, who are in the slot machine business. Captura went from 952nd to 350th on the list with income growing around 20 million euros to 231.3 million kuna (30 million euros).
In third place were hotel group Dubrovački Jadranski luksuzni hoteli (JLH), who improved 591 spots on the list, taking their annual income to 247.5 million kuna, up 155 million kuna (20.1 million euros) from the previous year. Also in the top 10 biggest growing comapanies last year in Croatia were Automobile companies Auto Gašparić from Velika Gorica and Škojo from Osijek, as well as pharmaceutical company Hospira Zagreb.
