Croatia’s Leading Dairy Company Gets Halal Certified

Dukat were awarded the Halal Certificate of Quality, which confirms the company implements strict halal standards in procurement processes, storage of raw materials, production, packaging, labeling and storage and distribution of its products.
“The introduction of halal standards is yet another confirmation of the ongoing commitment Dukat has with regards to quality and excellence in all business segments, and the company’s willingness to meet the demands of consumers,” said Dukat’s Zagreb factory director Enver Šišić.
Obtaining the certification took a number of months and was a long process with 19 staff educated in halal standards processes. The certificate opens up the possibility for Dukat to export to over 40 Arab nations with over 1.5 billion people. Dukat produce and distribute over 250 products, including milk, yoghurt, and cheese.
