Croatia’s MFA: Absolutely No Doubt We Will Be EU’s 28th Member

“There is absolutely no doubt that we will be ready and on 1 July 2013 we will become the 28th member state of the EU,” said a confident Vesna Pusic on Sunday.

Pusic, who is both Croatia’s Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affaris, was speaking in a TV interview with dnevnik when she assured the nation that there were no doubts about Croatia’s pending EU entry, despite recent reports that the nation was not quiet ready. Pusic said that three conditions still needed to be sorted out next year before Croatia becomes the Union’s 28th member.

When asked about the issue of Slovenia’s ratification of Croatia’s accession and the possibilty that its neighbours may sabortage its entry to the EU, Pusic said she was confident that the issues will be solved and the ratification question will be sorted.
