Croatia’s Unemployment Rate Climbs – 323,783 Registered Jobless

After six months of constant decline, the number of registered unemployed in Croatia has again increased. According to statistics from the Croatian Employment Service (CES), there were 323,783 registered unemployed at the end of September, a jump of 3.2 percent, or 10,108 people more than at the end of August.
On an annual basis, compared to September last year, the number of unemployed has increased by 4.1 percent, or 12,683 people. According to data from the Institute, in September 26,122 people had dropped off the register, while there were 36,230 new people registered, 10.8 percent more than in September last year.
