Two young Croatians are leaving Croatia for the UK this week to get their Master’s degrees, with their one-year study funded by the UK Chevening scholarship scheme, the British Embassy in Zagreb reports.
Tomislav Korman (above far left), Head of the Croatian Government’s online communications department, and Senad Handanagic (above far right) pre-departure meeting at the Embassy in Zagreb, wished them luck, success and fun. David also expressed his conviction that the knowledge and skills Senad and Tomislav will gain in the UK will also benefit Croatia in the long-run.
Senad and Tomislav will now join a community of around 350 people from Croatia who have studied in the UK as Chevening scholars. They are professors, officials, lawyers, sustainable energy experts and business people. Information on how to apply for the Chevening scholarship for 2014/2015 can be found on The Official Chevening Facebook Page. (Photo via: British Embassy)
