Cro’s To Grow Mo’s

In just a few days time, budding Croatian Tom Selleck’s, Groucho Marx’s, and local mustachioed king Miso Kovac’s, will attempt to emulate their idols in the name of charity.

The popular worldwide month-long celebration of the moustache, held during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer initiatives, is beginning to take off in Croatia.

Movember Croatia say that Croats up and down the country are getting ready to don a bit of fur on their upper-lips. Movember, an idea of growing moustaches for charity during the month of November, was started by a group of young men in Australia in 1999.

Since 2004 the Movember Foundation has run charity events raising money for men’s health issues, although it never really took off in Croatia. The Movember Foundation has raised over $174-million worldwide.
