Czechs confirm Croatia as their No.1 summer holiday spot

Croatia continues to be the favourite summer vacation spot for Czech tourists, cementing its place as their top summer getaway once again.
According to information shared by the Foreign Ministry, around 800,000 Czechs chose to visit Croatia during the summer months.
This isn’t new—last summer, Croatia also ranked as the No. 1 destination for Czech travellers, followed by Greece and Italy.
Between mid-June and mid-September, consular offices were set up temporarily in the Croatian cities of Rijeka and Split to assist tourists.
Czech police officers also teamed up with their Croatian counterparts to patrol areas like Šibenik, Omiš, and Vodice, ensuring safety for visitors.
During the summer period, 39 Czech nationals were arrested in the capital, Zagreb, Brno daily said.
Croatia saw an impressive 20.5 million tourist arrivals and 106.6 million overnight stays in the first ten months of the year.
Visitors from Germany topped the list with 22.2 million overnight stays, followed by Croatian locals, Slovenians, Austrians, and Poles.
Czechs accounted for 5.1 million overnight stays, putting them among the top groups of international visitors.
The most popular destinations for overnight stays in Croatia included Dubrovnik, Rovinj, Split, Poreč, and Umag.
