Former Croatian international Davor Šuker (56) has opened the first Croatian restaurant in Las Vegas
Šuker is a co-owner of the establishment called “Top Bar & Restaurant,” located on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas, with his business partner Sejo Kašić (56), daily Večernji list reported.
Envisioned as a sports bar, equipped with 12 TVs, Top Bar & Restaurant says it is the first and only Croatian cuisine restaurant in Las Vegas and the entire West Coast, serving authentic dishes, desserts and Croatian music.
“He knows nothing about the restaurant business and won’t interfere because he has complete trust in me. We’ve known each other for over 20 years; we met in Zagreb, at the office of my fellow townsman Orsat Zovko. After that, he used to come to Vegas, staying for a month or two, and we continued to hang out. He’s like a brother to me. When we heard that the Bulgarians were selling the restaurant, we agreed to buy it and open something of our own,” Kašić told Večernji list.

The menu was curated by Dubrovnik chef Mate Stulić, and there have been live performances by Petar Grašo and Alen Slavica.
“We serve authentic Croatian salt, olives, olive oil, prosciutto, wines, and original Croatian desserts. My favorites are the seafood risotto, pasta with shrimp and truffles in white sauce, and carob cake,” Kašić adds.

Before opening the restaurant, Kašić worked at the Bellagio hotel for 23 years, one of the most attractive in Vegas, where he met numerous famous faces.
Kašić adds that Šuker loves Vegas because of the restaurants and shows held in hotels, some of which he’s seen 20 times.
Šuker, who was the president of the Croatian Football Federation from 2012 to 2021, is Croatia’s all-time top scorer with 45 goals.
