“Last time was fantastic, we are excited to be coming to Croatia,” that is the message co-founder and bass player of Depeche Mode Andy Fletcher has given to his Croatian fans when he spoke to Tportal ahead of their 4th concert visit to Croatia in May.
The English new wave legends, who have had a successful 30-odd year career, will play at Zagreb’s Maksimir stadium on 23 May.
“A lot has changed since the war, but in the last 15 years it seems that the situation is stable and I would say that things are going good in Croatia. I know this time we are performing at a football stadium and that excites me. With regards to performing in Croatia, it is always a great pleasure every time – your fans are truly wonderful,” said Fletcher.
Next May’s Zagreb concert will be part of a big European tour the group will embark on to promote their 13th album. The tour kicks off in Tel Aviv on 7 May, and also sees them play in Hungary, Serbia and Belarus. Depeche Mode last played a concert in Croatia in October 2010.
