Dinamo Zagreb has won the Croatian Cup after beating Rijeka 3-1 on Wednesday night in Rijeka.
After the first leg of the final ended in a 0-0 stalemate last week in Zagreb, the second leg was a different story with Dinamo Zagreb proving too good.
Goals to Petar Sučić, Martin Baturina and Marko Bulat gave Dinamo a 3-0 lead before Toni Fruk pulled one back for Rijeka in added time.
In the end it was a comfortable victory for Dinamo who have now won the Croatian Cup 17 times.
It also means the club sealed the league and cup double.
The Zagreb-based club won the 2023-24 SuperSport HNL title two rounds before the end of the season to claim their 25th league title since Croatia gained independence and the 35th in total in the club’s history.
It was a good end to the season for coach Sergej Jakirović who took over from Igor Bišćan early in the season.
Dinamo Zagreb also reached the last 16 of the Europa Conference League this season before being knocked out by Greek side PAOK.
