Croatia’s Brazilian-born international Sammir has been told by Dinamo Zagreb that he will never play for the club again. Dinamo Zagreb have announced the news to fans on their official website.
“GNK Dinamo would like to announce to fans and the public that Sammir has been banished from the first team squad. Sammir is free to look for another club,” said the statement.
“Because of repeated displays of disrespect towards the club and his team mates, I have definitely decided to banish him from the team and he will never play for the first team at Dinamo Zagreb again,” said sports director and interim coach Zoran Mamić.
Sammir, who has been capped four times by Croatia, has been in trouble with the club regularly during his 6 year spell. Back in 2012 the midfielder was fined a record 250,000 euro by the club for partying on the Croatian coast just days before an important Champions League qualifier.
