Direct overnight train connecting Budapest and Split starts

A direct train service will once again connect the Hungarian capital of Budapest with the city of Split on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast.
The train service, which started on Friday and will run through until 30th of September, departs from Budapest every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, from Split every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
The trip from Budapest to Split will take around 14 hours, most of it at night.
The train leaves Budapest in the early evening, reaches the border on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, and then heads towards Zagreb before arriving in Split in the morning the following day.
The price of the trip for an adult starts from 49 euros, and for children aged 6-14 from 31 euros. For a night in cabin prices range from 64 euros per person each way to 119 euros.
