Dubrovnik reaches milestone five days earlier than last year…
A reflection of how the 2015 tourism season is going for Croatia’s leading destination Dubrovnik can be seen in the stats of a key tourism measure – overnight stays. Overnight stays are used to measure the length of time a visitor spends in the country. One overnight stay is one night spent, and on Tuesday Dubrovnik passed it 2 millionth overnight stay for the year, five days earlier than in 2014.
“From January to 10 August there have been 573,747 tourists staying in Dubrovnik, which is 9% more than last year. There have been 2,012,659 overnight stays, which is an increase of 7% from 2014,” the Dubrovnik Tourist Board said.
The Brits are still the number tourists in Dubrovnik for volume, followed by tourists from USA, France, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Australia, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
