Dubrovnik City Walls Welcome 1,000,000th Visitor

For just the second time in history on Wednesday the one millionth entry ticket to Dubrovnik’s famous stone walls was purchased inside a year.
21-year-old Turkish tourist Merve Oden became the one millionth visitor of the Dubrovnik City Walls this morning, the second time ever the one million visitor mark was passed in a single year.

The first time that the 1,000,000th ticket was sold inside a year was in 2016 when the milestone was reached on 13 October. This year it has come more than two weeks earlier.

Oden was presented with a gift pack from the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities, the organization which looks after the historic walls.
