A significant amount of money is set to be invested in beaches in Croatia’s Istria region…
Istria, which is one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations, will spend around 1 million euros on its beaches in 2016.
According to a report by Glas Istre, Funtana is set to receive the most money – 300,000 euros, followed by Poreč – 250,000 euros investment, Medulin and Vodnjan – just over 100,000 euros, Pula – just under 100,000 euros, Vrsar – 40,000 euros, and around 30,000 euros for beaches in Rovinj.
The investment will see a number of new beaches developed around Istria, and a number of beaches spruced up, including creating a number of new facilities such as showers, changing areas, pathways and children’s play equipment.
