Low cost British airline easyJet have announced major expansion plans in Croatia for 2017 yesterday.
easyJet will launch seven new routes in Croatia next year, bringing the total number of routes to 40.
New routes to and from Dubrovnik to Belfast, Naples, Basel and Manchester will start in 2017, as to will connections from Zadar to Milan and from Pula to Bristol and Berlin.
“From today easyJet offers 40 routes from across its Croatian airports to connect to six European countries,” easyjet said in a statement.
easyjet say that the new routes to Zadar on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast are expected to be popular.
“I am sure the new flights to Zadar, where we expect to carry over 8,000 passengers in the first summer of operations, will soon prove popular with Italian holidaymakers that can now choose to travel at fantastic fares to one of the oldest Croatian cities as well as gateway to beautiful beaches, islands and the unique UNESCO World Heritage site of Plitvice Lakes National Park”, easyJet’s senior route manager Dimitris Schoinas said.
easyJet’s expansion in the Croatian market in 2017 will see capacity grow by over 23% compared to 2016.
Passengers travelling to Croatia will have more choices next year on easyJet thanks to the new routes.
The Belfast – Dubrovnik route will launch in May, Naples – Dubrovnik and Basel – Dubrovnik will commence in June, whilst in July Manchester – Dubrovnik will launch.
Bristol – Pula will start in May, with Berlin – Pula starting up in June 2017. Milan – Zadar will start on 27 June 2017.
