ZAGREB, 18 August 2020 – British low-cost airline easyJet today confirmed that the closure of its bases at London Stansted, London Southend, and Newcastle will go ahead following the completion of its collective consultation process.
easyJet will suspend flights from London Stansted and London Southend airports, as well as flights from Newcastle. The closure of this bases will happen soon, and from September 1st, the airline’s tentative plan is to return to those airports at the beginning of the summer season in 2021.
As Croatian Aviation reports, easyJet will suspend following routes to Croatia:
- London Stansted – Dubrovnik
- London Stansted – Split
- London Southend – Dubrovnik
- London Southend – Pula
- Newcastle – Split
However, easyJet will fly from London (Gatwick Airport) to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula during September this year, so passengers will be able to change their departure airport from London easily in order to reach their destination in Croatia.
Also, passengers who already have a ticket for the Newcastle – Split route will need to travel to Manchester and to use the Manchester – Split direct route. This route will be active this September as well.
