Just days after announcing that he would not be making himself available again for Croatia, Eduardo da Silva has signed for Brazilian giants Flamengo….
The 31-year-old former Arsenal striker will move to the Rio de Janeiro-based club as a free agent from his Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Eduardo reportedly will be on a performance-based 18-month contract.
“I had a number of offers, but this club is something special,” said Eduardo.
The man affectionately known as ‘Dudu’ was born in Rio de Janerio before moving to Croatia as a teen. He is the country’s second highest goal scorer with 29 goals in 64 matches.
