The European Commission has given the United States an ultimatum to lift visa requirements for Croatian citizens who need entry permits to visit the U.S…
The EC has told the United States to remove the visa requirements for citizens holding Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Cypriot and Croatian passports, and who still need an entry permit. Currently citizens from most of the other member states of the EU can travel to the U.S without the need for a visa, but nationals of newer EU nations still need visas for the U.S, Canada or Australia.
The EC warned that if within six months the visa issue is not sorted for those nations, then they could introduce visas for US diplomats, reported EurActive.
