Croatia has gone to the top of Group D in Euro 2024 qualifying after beating Armenia on Monday night at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.
It was another dominant performance from Zlatko Dalić’s side after beating Lativa on Friday 5-0.
Croatia would open the scoring in the 13th minute when following a Luka Modrić corner, Andrej Kramarić would find the back of the net in a crowded box.
It was initially ruled offside but VAR would over rule it and the goal would stand.
Petković and Perišić would go close in a half dominated by the visitors but it would remain 1-0 at the break.

Croatia had a number of chances again in the second spell to extend the lead. Kramarić went close, before Luka Ivanušec and Josip Stanišić had close attempts.
Substitute Petar Musa had a great chance with minutes remaining after a great cross from Perišić, but the Benfica striker could only steer his shot from five yards out straight at the keeper.
Armenia struggled to find a way to create any chances on goal but at moments they put some pressure on Croatia’s back four.
The score would remain 1-0 and with the three points Croatia goes top of the group on goal difference with 10 points and a game in hand over Turkey.
