Euro 2024: Croatia to face Spain, Italy and Albania in group stage

2 December 2023 – The draw for the Euro 2024 group stage has taken place today in Hamburg, Germany.
Croatia, who started the draw in pot 3, will face Spain, Albania and Italy in Group B.
Croatia will play Spain on 15 June in Berlin first.
Next up on 19 June is Albania in Hamburg. The final group match will be against Italy in Leipzig on 24 June.
Croatia have an impressive record in qualifying for major tournaments, and Euro 2024 will be the nation’s 13th major tournament and 7th Euro.
The tournament is also likely to be the last for captain Luka Modrić. The Real Madrid midfielder, who turns 39 next September, will be appearing in his 5th Euro tournament and is likely to retire after the tournament.
Three teams are still to qualify for Euro 2024. There will be six semi-finals and three finals in late March, with the winning teams entering the Euro 2024 group stage.
Euro 2024 will be played in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024.
Matches will be played at ten venues across the country – Berlin, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Frankfurt and Gelsenkirchen.
