Europa League: Dinamo Zagreb to face Villarreal in quarterfinals

Dinamo Zagreb has learned their quarterfinal opponents in the UEFA Europa League after the draw was made on Friday in Nyon.
Dinamo Zagreb has been drawn against Spanish club Villarreal.
The first leg will be played in Zagreb on 8 April, and the second leg will be played in Spain the following week on 15 April.
The draw was also made today for the semi-finals. If Dinamo advance, they will meet the winner of the Arsenal v Slavia Praha quarter final in the semi-finals.
Villarreal, who beat Dynamo Kyiv 4-2 on aggregate to reach the quarterfinals, are currently 7th in Spain’s La Liga.
Dinamo Zagreb reached the last 8 of the Europa League after a stunning performance to beat Tottenham 3-0 in Zagreb in last night.
A wonderful hat-trick from Mislav Oršić gave the Croatian champions the win 3-2 on aggregate.
This is the first time that Dinamo Zagreb has reached the quarterfinals of the Europa League.
Their previous best was back in 2019 when Benfica knocked them out in the Round of 16.
The Europa League final will be played on 26 May 2021 at the Stadion Miejski in Gdańsk.
