All three Croatian football clubs in UEFA Europa League qualification were in action last night…
It was a mixed evening for the Croatian clubs with only NK Lokomotiva managing to get a positive result out of the first leg of 2nd round qualifying for Europe’s second tier club competition.
NK Lokomotiva were too good for Igor Tudor’s PAOK from Greece, and will take a 2-1 lead into the 2nd leg next Thursday in Greece. Hajduk Split, beaten 3-2 in Slovenia by Koper, and Rijeka, thrashed 3-0 by Scottish club Aberdeen, have their work cut out in the second leg.
Meanwhile Croatian champions Dianmo Zagreb will go into their UEFA Champions League second leg qualifier against Luxembourg’s Fola Esch with the scores level at 1-1.
