Faithful Dinamo Zagreb Fans Walk 80km To Watch Match

Five faithful Dinamo Zagreb fans set off last night on an 80 kilometre walk to watch their club take on Luxembourg’s Fola Esch in the 2nd round of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League in Zagreb tonight.

Damir Slunjski, Marko Slunjski, Branko Slunjski, Vjekoslav Slunjski and Kristijan Njegovec set off on Monday night at around 10pm from a village near Varazdin in northern Croatia, and are on their way by foot to Zagreb’s Maksimir stadium where they will arrive just before kick-off tonight.

“All fans and supporters of Dinamo can join us, by either walking with us or inside the stadium,” said the loyal ‘blues’ fans, who wanted to show other fans that no one or nothing should prevent you from supporting your team. Dinamo Zagreb take a comfortable 5:0 advantage into the second leg.
