Just 48-hours after Croatia’s UEFA Champions League hopefuls Dinamo Zagreb sacked coach Krunoslav Jurcic, the club had received over 50 offers, mainly from managers agents offering their clients services. According to reports in local media this morning however, there is only one man the Croatian champions are interested in bringing to the Zagreb club.
Former German midfield and record-breaking manager of Bayern Munich Felix Magath is reportedly the club’s first choice to take over the helm. Whether or not Dinamo Zagreb get their man remains to be seen, but if they do then the players can exept some hard graft at training. Current Croatian international Ivica Olic, who is currently playing under Magath at VfL Wolfsburg, has been quoted as saying that until one plays under Magath, they have no idea what torture actually is. Besides Bayern Munich, whom he took to the league and cup double – twice, Magath has managed Hamburg SV, Nuremberg, Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart, and Schalke 04. Dinamo sacked Jurcic after they went down 2:0 at home in the first leg of their Champions League play-off with Austria Vienna.
