Festival to Celebrate Casanova’s Croatia Connection

The 8th Casanova Fest – Love & Erotic Festival, celebrating the historical connections between the famous lover Casanova and the Croatian tourist town of Vrsar in Istria, will be held this weekend…
Literature evenings, theatre performances, kissing competitions, lectures, film screenings, good food, drink, and music will again feature at this year’s festival, which is now in its 8th year.
Giacomo Casanova, the inspiration for the festival, visited the town of Vrsar, which was famous for its good food, drink (Refoška) and beautiful women, twice, in 1743 and 1744. The festival will be held this year from 24-25th June 2016.
Casanovafest was invented by Slobodan Vugrinec and Boris T. Matić as a manifestation which celebrates historical connections between the famous lover Casanova and Vrsar.
