Fewer Tourists In Croatia Via Croatian Travel Agencies

Latest data from the Central Bureau of Statistics on tourist traffic via travel agencies in Croatia shows that the number of tourists booking through local travel agencies is on the decline.
Last year bookings with Croatia travel agencies were down 8% from 2011 numbers, with 3% less foreign tourists bookings and 6.1% less local tourists.There were 1.89 million less foreign tourists booking through local agencies last year.
Local tourists in Croatia booking through local agencies had fallen by over 280,000, or 6.1% less than in 2011. Overnight stays however realised by local tourists in Croatia last season rose by 23.7%. The most popular destinations for Croatians behind Croatia was Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Spain, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports HRT.
